WATCH: Super Bowl Streaker’s Run Across Field Gets Hilarious Commentary from Kevin Harlan

Westwood One broadcaster Kevin Harlan is no stranger to turning fan-on-the-field events into witty calls. It happened in Super Bowl LV.

Harlan, who was doing the national radio call of Super Bowl LV along with Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner, was preparing to call another play between the Super Bowl LV-winning Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs. But he could see a fan running onto the field.

The fan was dodging, bobbing, and weaving his way through traffic. That’s another name for security officers who were trying to bring this slippery streaker down.

Harlan took the opportunity to offer his own commentary as events happened. Take a listen to him making the, um, award-winning call.

“Pull up your pants, take off your bra, and be a man” might be a line for all-time from Harlan.

Kevin Harlan Made Similar Unique Call Back In 2016 Game

This is not the first time, though, for Harlan to turn a on-field fan situation into a game-calling moment.

Back in 2016, Harlan and Warner were calling a rather boring 28-0 victory for the San Francisco 49ers over the then-St. Louis Rams. In the third quarter with San Francisco up 21-0, a fan decided to take the field and liven up the rather dreary contest.

“Somebody has run out on the field, some goofball in a hat and a red shirt,” Harlan said. “Now he takes off the shirt. He’s running down the middle by the 50. At the 30. He’s bare-chested, banging his chest, now he runs the opposite way.

“He runs to the 50, he runs to the 40, the guy is drunk but there he goes,” Harlan said. “The 20. They’re chasing him but they’re not going to get him. Waving his arms, bare-chested. Somebody stop him.”

Warner chimes in, “Lookout, here come the blue-coat guys.”

“Oh they got him, and they tackle him at the 40-yard line.”

Harlan Calls Games For NFL, NBA, College Basketball

Harlan isn’t known for doing these types of calls all the time. He’s the main play-by-play voice for NBA games on TNT along with analyst Reggie Miller. He also does NFL and college basketball games on CBS.

Harlan’s father, Bob Harlan, worked for years as an executive with the Green Bay Packers.

But when things get a bit weird on the field, sometimes Harlan will go along with the fun. He gained a lot of attention after his 2016 call, garnering talk-show visits. Harlan is one who usually sticks to a by-the-numbers approach on his broadcasting style.

While Super Bowl LV will be remembered for Tom Brady’s seventh Super Bowl victory, Kevin Harlan will have a little piece of his own in the broadcast wing of on-the-field weirdness.
