Last night, Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians became the oldest coach in NFL history to win a Super Bowl.

At 68-years-old, Arians and his Bucs team beat the Kansas City Chiefs to claim the National Football League championship. Arians and his coaching staff had a masterful game plan going in that the players executed to perfection. Tampa Bay was dominant on both sides of the ball resulting in a blowout win against the favorite Chiefs by final score of 31-9.

To the victor goes the spoils and the Bucs and their fans certainly enjoyed their victory and celebration to follow. One of the spoils of victory is worldwide air time with microphones and television cameras all over the place. Most of the team and the coaches got some quality time in front of the camera to say thank you to the important people in their life.

Bruce Arians Thanks Mother After Super Bowl Win

Arians did just that as he took the Lombardi Trophy into his hands for the first time. With a camera firmly focused on him, the Super Bowl winning coach proceeded to thank many people. Among the names was Arians’ 95-year-old mother, who was present in Raymond James Stadium for the big game.

“Love you, mom,” the social media post from the Tampa Bay Bucs page says.

Overcome with emotion, Arians thanks the woman who gave him life and an opportunity to shine on the big stage.

“I have so many people to thank,” the coach says while accepting the Lombardi Trophy. “My mom is up there. She is 95. Love ya, Mom!”

After a large round of applause, Arians proceeds to give the credit for the win to his coaching staff and players.

“This really belongs to our coaching staff and our players,” he says while hoisting the trophy above his head. “This is your trophy. I didn’t do a damn thing. You guys won this game. You came together as a band of brothers and you made it happen. I am so proud of all of you.”

Bucs fans are obviously proud of Arians as well and showed their appreciation on social media. The video of the coach’s speech drew nearly 7,000 “likes” along with hundreds of comments and retweets.
