The fight trailer is for the upcoming UFC 257 that will feature the matchup between McGregor and Poirer. It will be the promotion’s first pay-per-view of the new year on Saturday, Jan. 23.
The trailer shows highlights from the McGregor and Poirer first fight six years ago. Both fighters make bold statements in the two minute and thirty-second video. UFC commentator Joe Rogan provides analysis for the fight in the video. The trailer provides more hype for the fight that is sure to be a big draw among UFC fans.
“Conor, I’m coming to take you out,” Poirer says in the video. “I am one of the best in the world. One mistake and it is over. I’m going to stop Conor by any means necessary.”
Conor McGregor Wants to Fight in Cowboys Stadium
McGregor only recently revealed he would be making a return to the octagon to continue his fighting career. The knockout artist has chosen retirement three times in his career, eventually returning from each one with a chip on his shoulder.
The location of the fight not been set but if McGregor gets his wish, it will take place on the grandest of stages. In tweeting out his acceptance of the challenge, he says he wants the fight to go down inside Cowboys Stadium. While the home of the Dallas Cowboys would make for an excellent fight location, it is not yet known what UFC officials will do.
