Ted Nugent has been vocal in recent months on his political views. In his newest Facebook post, the rock star called former presidents “scamming traitors.”
In his post, he included photos of what is allegedly Barack Obama. During the photos, Obama held his hands at his waist instead of over his heart in the “Star-Spangled Banner.” The caption said, “This is where the disrespect started and grew from.”
Nugent included a photo of the former presidents before Trump. The photo listed past conflicts the U.S. engaged in while they were in office. The list is empty for Trump. But, this paints an inaccurate picture of Trump’s presidency. While there haven’t been any wars under Trump, the U.S. has been active overseas. For instance, in January 2020, the U.S. led an airstrike in Iraq that killed an Iranian commander, according to the New York Times.
Additionally, he included a comparison photo of a crowded airplane with people wearing masks and empty church pews. The caption read, “Does this make any sense?” The post probably refers to the coronavirus lockdown. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many churches closed due to social isolation. Meanwhile, airlines remained active at a reduced capacity.
Ted Nugent Endorsed Donald Trump As President
Nugent has officially endorsed Trump in his re-election bid and recently appeared at a Trump rally. On his Facebook, Nugent has a modified version of a MAGA hat. Instead, the message reads, “Re-elect That Motherf–ker.”
At the rally for Trump in Muskegon, Michigan, Nugent praised the president as the greatest in his lifetime.
“God bless real Michigan, God bless real America,” he said. “God bless the greatest president in our lifetime, Donald Trump. We will make America great again. And we will make Michigan great again. Won’t we? Live it up. Have a great hunting season. Kill lots of s–t.”
Later during an interview with Breitbart, Nugent condemned Joe Biden and the Democrats. He believes the Democrats will take away the Second Amendment.
“Everybody who is paying attention knows that the left will gut the Bill of Rights to the Constitution,” Ted Nugent said. “Actually, not gut it but just eliminate it completely. In their own words, they are coming to take your guns. Beto O’Rourke, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris — everybody knows that they want to disarm their subjects.”
