‘Tiger King’ Star Doc Antle Indicted for Animal Cruelty, Trafficking

Reality docu-series star Doc Antle is in trouble on a variety of counts. His charges, according to TMZ, include felony and misdemeanor charges rooted in animal cruelty.

Antle is the owner and founder of Myrtle Beach Safari. The Tiger King personality charges include felony wildlife trafficking after federal agents were on his case for months.

The now-disgraced member of the animal and “big cat” rescue world has a long list of charges. These include 1 felony count of conspiracy to sell or transport endangered wildlife, 4 counts of misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to violate the Endangered Species Act, and 9 misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty as well.

Antle’s two daughters Tawny Antle and Tilakam Watterson are dealing with their own indictments. Allegedly, they violated the Endangered Species Act and now face misdemeanors for animal cruelty.

Antle’s charges helped agents to uncover the owner of Wilson’s Wild Animal Park’s misdeeds. They seized over 119 animals from the park, including lions, bears, camels, goats, and more. Additionally, Wilson’s Wild Animal Park claims to have gotten animals from Antle.

Other Tiger King stars join Doc Antle in pop culture resurgence

The Tiger King cast is seeing a bit of a resurgence on TV. Most recently, Carole Baskin appeared on Dancing With the Stars. Baskin is the owner of Big Cat Rescue. Animal rights activist Baskin was in the Tiger King Netflix documentary. Fans doubt Baskin’s total innocence regarding her ex-husband Don Lewis. Many believe she murdered him.

There are new Tiger King shows and documentaries on their way out. Firstly, there’s a miniseries starring Nicolas Cage. Secondly, there are a variety of smaller projects. Secondly, there are several smaller projects being made as we speak. In other words, the Tiger King franchise is still going very strong.
