The show pits 14 cowboys from across the United States against each other in a series of physical and mental challenges. The winner is awarded a herd they can take to market, a Rawhide Portable Corral, an Arrowquip Q-Catch 87 Series Cattle Chute, and the “Ultimate Cowboy Showdown” belt-buckle, the show’s website says.

Fans excited for return of ‘Ultimate Cowboy Showdown’

Fans took to Adkins’ Instagram to let him know how excited they were about the upcoming season.

“Can’t wait! Love this show but can’t we move the date back? February is TOO long to wait,” one fan posted. “Oh heck yeah!! I enjoyed watching the last episode,” someone else wrote.

“Going to be awesome,” another fan replied to Adkins.

In a press release announcing the return of the show, VP of original unscripted programming for INSP Craig Miller explained why the show resonates with fans.

“Everybody knows that cowboys are tough as nails, but the high-stakes format of this show also brings out other aspects of their personalities like wit, humor, empathy, chivalry, and compassion,” Miller said. “Viewers get a ringside seat to observe the ‘cowboy code’ in action.”

Season one of “Ultimate Cowboy Showdown” is currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
