Shelby American, a high-performance vehicle manufacturer that was founded by the former race car driver, Carroll Shelby, is now offering a closer look at the 2021 Shelby F-150 Super Snake

According to Shelby American, the F-150 Super Snake uses a 5.0 liter supercharged V-8 that makes 775 horsepower. This allows the truck to sprint to 60 mph in under four seconds. It also can move from 0-100-0 in only 8.3 seconds.

While sharing more details about the truck, Gary Patterson, President of Shelby American, shares in a company press release, “Shelby American forever changed the perception of performance bingeing with the Shelby Cobra, the Shelby version of the Ford Mustang pony car. And then the muscle truck.”

Patterson explains the 2021 model year Shelby F-150 Super Snap truck is being “created with the same DNA” that made the Shelby Cobra and muscle truck.

The 2021 F-150 Super Snake Is Built to Be the Toughest

Shelby American further declares the 2021 F-150 Super Snake is to be the “toughest, most productive” F-150 ever. The truck’s features are to increase customer productivity as well as connected vehicle innovations. This includes over-the-air updates and other “purposeful” technologies.

“Though the roots of the Shelby F-150 Super Super Snake trucks trace back to the famous Shelby muscle cars of the 1960s. They are capable of far more than just straight-line performance,” Vince LaViolette, Shelby American Vice President of Operations, states.

LaViolette also shares that the F-150 Super Snake can also handle and stop exceptionally well. “The rumble and whine of the supercharged engine is a symphony of the auroral mechanical beauty,” He describes. “The stylizing is strong and handsome without being obnoxious. This is the purest incarnation of the 1960s muscle car in pickup form.”

Shelby American reveals it is working closely with FOX, Ford Performance, and Borla to transform the pickup. The 2021 trucks feature new and claimed better handling, an extra five horsepower, and “pure American” styling.

Patterson says the F-150 model is for those who cherish the memory of hot rod cruises on a Saturday night. But also needs the utility of a pickup. “We applied the best attributes from our Shelby Super Snake Mustang to a limited run of F-150 trucks to make a super truck for street duty,” he shares.

How Much Are the Shelby F-150 Super Snake Trucks?

Shelby American explains each of its vehicles is under the official Shelby Registry. The F-150 trucks will have a 3 year/36,000-mile warranty, including powertrain warranty. The F-150 Super Snake trucks, including the Ford F-150, start at $105,708 MSRP.
