The body of fugitive Brian Laundrie will be cremated and his ashes will be given to the family. But Laundrie’s parents have no plans to hold a traditional funeral.

Steve Bertolino, the family attorney for the Laundrie family was the one to confirm the news. He said on Sunday that Brian’s parents were going to skip a casket-style service. With the crazy media attention this case has had, you can probably imagine why they made that decision. There have been protesters and members from various media outlets camped outside the Laundrie home for weeks now.

After authorities are done examining Brian’s body and it is cremated, Chris and Roberta Laundrie will then receive his ashes. And while the nation still wants answers as to what happened between Laundrie and Gabby Petito, there are many people sending the Laundrie family flowers now that Brian is no longer with us.

A Twitter account with the display name of #JusticeForGabbyPetito posted a video of a local florist dropping off an arrangement.

“Flowers are delivered to Brian Laundrie’s parents. This local florist’s reaction to everything, ‘it’s sad.’ He’s expecting to deliver more arrangements here later today.”

FBI Confirms Remains Found in Florida Reserve Belong to Brian Laundrie

The entire nation has been looking for answers for the last couple of months in the case of Brian Laundrie and Gabby Petito. The remains of Brian Laundrie were found in the Carlton Reserve in Florida after he told his family that he was going for a hike in the area. The reserve isn’t too far away from his parent’s house.

The remains found there were “skeletal.” FBI officials gave confirmation in a statement that the remains found did indeed belong to Brian Laundrie. They were able to identify them last Thursday using dental records.

“On October 21, 2021, a comparison of dental records confirmed that the human remains found at the T. Mabry Carlton, Jr. Memorial Reserve and Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park are those of Brian Laundrie. The FBI is grateful for the tremendous investigative support from our partners.”

However, authorities are still not sure how the 23-year-old died after his autopsy results came back inconclusive. In the meantime, they will continue to examine his body and other evidence to figure that out. Bertolino, the family attorney, said that Brian’s remains will head to a forensic anthropologist for further examination.

Prior to his death, Brian Laundrie was the sole person of interest in the death of his 22-year-old fiance Gabby Petito. Law enforcement was able to locate her in Wyoming back on September 19. Petito’s cause of death was strangulation. Authorities got to her remains exactly one month apart from those of Laundrie’s.

So, now we wait and see what the next step is in the investigation. Be sure to follow along with us right here on Outsider.
