The search for Brian Laundrie has increased with the help of a very special dog.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office joined the search for Laundrie. A Pasco County forensic investigator is handling a K9 that is for human remains detection.

“It’s important to note that the K9 trainer drives a vehicle that says ‘Arson Investigation’ on it, but they have not requested our arson K9 or investigators. This trainer simply helps train our HRD K9s,” they told Fox in a statement.

You’ll recall that Brian Laundrie’s parents reported him missing on Sept. 17. The last time that they saw him was Sept. 13. At the time, he was already named a person of interest in the disappearance (now murder) of Gabby Petito. His parents told investigators that they believed he went hiking in the Carlton Reserve.

Despite Gabby’s death being ruled a murder, as she was strangled, he is only the sole person of interest. Brian is still missing despite weeks of searching in Sarasota County. Brian’s father Chris even joined in the search for three hours while authorities searched Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park.

Aside from being a person of interest, not responding to Gabby’s parents, and returning home without his fiancee, he has not been officially named a suspect. However, he is wanted and has a federal warrant as he used Gabby’s credit card (after her death) and spent more than $1,000.

A Wild Brian Laundrie Theory

TikTok users viewed aerial drone footage of Brian Laundrie‘s backyard and are convinced that something is off. Could he actually be hiding out in a secret bunker? The video clip showed Chris and Roberta gardening in their yard with numerous ornate sections of their yard. One of these looks almost like a bunker entrance.

Fox News spoke to the CEO of Atlas Survival Shelters, Ron Hubbard, about the likelihood of a bunker being located there. He said that it would be easy to create. Some people go as far as to keep it secret from their neighbors and the government.

Gary Lynch added that it wouldn’t be a problem to dig one even in the wet Florida soil. “You just have to make them heavy enough that they don’t float out.”

Hubbard said that the chance that Brian Laundrie is hiding in his backyard is “about zero.”

“They would have figured that out by now,” he explained. It’s important to note that police have already completed a search warrant on their land.

Secondly, by the looks of the video, Lynch doesn’t believe that a bunker is inside a flower bed.

“The possibility of having a bunker there, his parents having a bunker, is absolutely 100% plausible,” he admitted. “However, that being said, it didn’t look anything like if a hand came out of the bunker to me.”

Finally, both men agree that he has most likely gotten as far away from Florida as possible.
