Budweiser ‘Summer Patriotic Cans’ Now Available in Time for Memorial Day

Just in time for Memorial Day weekend, Budweiser is releasing a series of three patriotic-themed cans to help beer-drinking Americans start the summer off right.

Ahead of the holiday, Anheuser-Busch revealed their newest can designs. The limited edition packaging and cans are appropriately adorned in red, white, and blue. They also include stars and stripes obviously mirroring the American flag’s iconic design. Additionally, the 145-year-old beer company added the first four lines of our national anthem – “The Star-Spangled Banner” – on each 12-ounce can.

Although the cans have a new design, the beer itself is the same smooth lager fans have come to know and love. The patriotic release will feature the famous beer’s original recipe of hops, rice and barley malt. The nationwide release will be available in both singles and larger packs through August 9th. The packs will come in various sizes, including 12, 18, 20, 24, 30 and 36 packs of 12 oz. cans.

Budweiser Donating $1 of Each Case Sold to Military Families

Furthermore, from May 31 to July 4, Budweiser will donate $1 per case sold to Folds of Honor. The nonprofit organization benefits “spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled service-members,” according to Budweiser’s press release.

Folds of Honor has reportedly helped more than 29,000 military dependents across our nation. They’ve provided over $145 million in scholarships with the organization awarding each recipient with up to $75,000. Budweiser’s Vice President of Marketing Renaldo Chapman shared thoughts on the new cans and their partnership.

“This season, we are looking forward to being at the center of quintessential summer moments. From family reunions to baseball games, and celebrating getting closer to normalcy,” Chapman said in a statement. 

“With the launch of the patriotic cans, Budweiser will be there as friends and families create new and much-missed memories together and enjoy summer moments both big and small, all while supporting Folds of Honor,” he added. “We are proud to continue working with this monumental organization to further support our military community.”

In addition to the new packaging launch, Budweiser will debut their new national summer commercials. The commercials will celebrate America and summer moments while featuring the patriotic cans. The ads will air across television, digital streaming sources, and social media. Budweiser will also release America-inspired merchandise collaborations and social giveaways throughout the summer until Labor Day.
