Although Chick-Fil-A is one of America’s most beloved fast-food chains, it has its fans up in arms. Recently, the famous chicken chain announced that it would limit its favorite sauces.

The restaurant is reportedly limiting the number of sauces employees give to their customers due to industry-wide supply chain shortages. Chick-Fil-A will now limit customers to one sauce per entree, two sauces per meal, and three sauces per 30-count nuggets per an email sent out to customers.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work through this,” Chick-fil-A reportedly said in the email. The decision to restrict the sauces comes nearly a week after Chick-Fil-A announced that the chain was running low on their sauces. On May 4, the chain posted an alert on its website titled: “Industrywide Supply Chain Shortages.”

A Chick-Fil-A spokesperson said that the company is working to resolve the sauce stumble. “Due to industry-wide supply chain disruptions, some Chick-fil-A restaurants are experiencing a shortage of select items, like sauces,” the spokesperson said. “We are actively working to make adjustments to solve this issue quickly and apologize to our Guests for any inconvenience.”

However, Chick-Fil-A isn’t the only fast-food chain forcefully changing its menu. Moe’s Southwest Grill, McAllister’s Deli, and Schlotzsky’s Deli have announced that some items may be temporarily unavailable because of shortages.

However, there is a silver (or saucy) lining: the chain recently made their two famous sauces available in select stores. Customers can now purchase Polynesian and Chick-Fil-A sauce in stores nationwide.

More Menu Changes Ahead for Chick-Fil-A

In other Chick-Fil-A news, the restaurant is starting to roll out some of the menu changes that it first announced in February. Yet, some customers aren’t too happy. Chick-Fil-A is discontinuing bagels and decaf coffee and is changing the sizes of beverages, ice cream, and milkshakes — meaning you might be limited to one size.

Additionally, their kid’s meals are also being offered in one size. While you customers had the choice between four or six piece chicken nugget meal, all the kid’s meals will now come with five pieces.

“Streamlining our menu will allow for us to continue providing our customers the quality food and service they’ve come to expect, as well as make room for new future menu items,” a Chick-Fil-A spokesperson said in February.

Yet, the restaurant is trying to make up for these inconveniences. They recently announced that they were adding a new entrée to its lineup for the first time in five years. The company is also testing two new spicy chicken items in select stores.
