Popular restaurant Chick-fil-A will make its assortment of sauces available to national grocery chains, according to ABC News.

The chain, famous for its chicken sandwiches, made the announcement earlier this week. Signature sauces like their Polynesian sauce and specialty Chick-fil-A sauce will hit national retailers soon. Walmart, Kroger, Winn-Dixie and Publix are some of the market chains that will be carrying the sauce starting later this year in mid-November.

States where the Chick-fil-A sauce will be for sale initially include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Furthermore, restaurant officials say their sauces will be available nationwide in 2021.

“Chick-fil-A Sauce and Polynesian Sauce were part of a pilot program in select Florida retailers earlier this year. We’re excited to expand availability of our two most beloved sauces across the country,” L.J. Yankosky, senior director of Innovation & New Ventures at Chick-fil-A, said.

The 16-ounce sauce containers will sell for around $3.49 starting out, according to a Chick-fil-A press release.

Chick-Fil-A Sauce Sales Benefit Employees

Restaurant officials say that 100 percent of the royalties collected from sales will go to a scholarship fund. The profits from the fund go to help Chick-fil-A employees.

In addition to bottles of sauce for sale at select stores, participating Restaurants offer smaller bottles of their signature sauce. The restaurant also says sauce gift sets will be available at certain restaurant locations in time for the holiday season.

“Restaurant Team Members go above and beyond every day to care for our guests and the communities they serve,” Yankosky said. “We’re thrilled that every 16-ounce bottled sauce purchased from a participating retailer will help provide additional scholarship opportunities to Team Members, who are a key ingredient to our restaurant experience.”

Since 1970, Chick-fil-A has helped nearly 60,000 Team Members pay for their education through a total investment of $92 million in scholarships, with $17 million in scholarships being awarded to 6,700 restaurant Team Members in 47 states and Canada just this year, according to the press release.
