For all the hungry brainiacs out there, Chipotle has you covered. Earlier this month, the popular restaurant offered free access to a video game through their Tony Hawk Burrito campaign. Now they’ve launched a new IQ test that offers winners free food.
The first 250,000 people who can answer all 10 questions will receive a digital buy-one-get one free offer. The contest launched on Aug. 26 at 12:01 a.m. PT and is expected to last until Sept. 1 at 11:59 p.m. PT or until supplies last.
Like your standard high school exam, the test features multiple choice, true or false, and write-in answers. “Chipotle IQ” won’t test your math, science, or language skills. Instead all the questioning revolves around the company’s ingredients, recipes, and sustainability efforts. For instance, do you know what spice the company uses to flavor their rice? If you’re not a Chipotle history buff, you can take the test as many times as you need.
“Chipotle IQ allows our customers to discover Chipotle in a whole new way and rewards our most devoted brand experts,” said Chris Brandt, chief marketing officer, in a press release. “We’re introducing a test our fans will actually be excited to take.”
Chipotle isn’t the only company that has some unconventional marketing strategies. General Mills recently announced they would be selling pouches of just Lucky Charms marshmallows.
