Coors Light Is Offering Up to 60 Free Beers for Charitable Donations: Here’s How to Get Yours

Coors Light is offering up a cool promotion service right now in the form of free beer. The company is trying to help people clear out items that people no longer need.

Drawing inspiration from Marie Kondo, Coors Light is attempting to help people clean out their homes. The company is hoping that people will get rid of household items that no longer “spark joy.”

There are two awesome benefits for people giving away items. The first is that Coors Light will donate any item you give to charity. And the second is that Coors Light will give you free beer in exchange for your unwanted items.

It sounds almost too good to be true, and there is only one slight caveat. For anyone thinking about donating, keep in mind the weight of the “quarantine clutter” being given away. The amount of beer you get is directly correlated with how much your items weigh.

So, Coors Light will give you a 12-pack of beer for items that weigh 1-10 pounds. Then for items that weigh 10-20 pounds, you will be given a 30-pack of beer. And finally, you will receive two 30-packs of beer for items that weigh over 20.1 pounds. Altogether, you could potentially get 60 free cans or bottles of beer for unwanted household items.

Coors Light Giving Away Free Beer to Help Out Charities

Many Americans who are fortunate enough have been buying plenty of stuff throughout the pandemic. As the quarantine rules are changing and spring is coming, people are getting rid of unnecessary items. Consequently, Coors Light is offering this rebate system.

After conducting a study, it was found that 43% of Americans went through a period of “comfort buying.” Consequently, Marcelo Pascoa, who is the vice president of marketing for Molson Coors, is offering this program.

“People bought a whole bunch of stuff to help them chill out throughout the pandemic. We’ve all bought more bread makers, ring lights, and tie-dye kits than we know what to do with. And a year later, you don’t need a bunch of stuff to chill.”

So, to help people rid their house of clutter and assist charity, Coors Light will have a busy day. On March 20, the company is accepting donations in Atlanta and Nevada from 1-5 p.m. local time.

After weighing all of the items, the patrons will be sent home with the appropriate amount of Coors Light. All of the items, Pascoa says, will be given to local charities.

“We’ll weigh your smoothie blender or bicycle and give you its weight equivalent in cases of beer.”

This is definitely an incentive program that anyone who drinks beer can get behind. Who doesn’t want free beer in exchange for unwanted stuff?
