Corona Beer ‘Found Their Beach,’ Starting Private Island Vacation Spot in 2022

When you crack open a bottle of Corona, as the beer’s foam fizzles to the top, it looks eerily like the foamy white water that crashes onto the tip of a sandy beach.

There’s also something about the experience of cutting up lime wedges and sinking them into a bottle of Corona that also feels all-too-tropical. Now, it looks like the brand finally is helping people “Find Your Beach.”

Corona Island Finally Underway

Now, Corona is finally tapping into the island, paradise feeling that comes from sipping the light beer. Fans of the popular beer can now plan a trip to Corona Island. It’s likely a paradise where Corona will be flowing from just about every crevice of the island.

There are multiple ways to get to the island. People will need to collect stamps, find a golden ticket, or purchase certain products to earn miles.

The island will be open to visitors starting in the spring of 2022. The island itself is located off the coast of Colombia. Corona wants to allow its beer drinkers to connect with nature.

“Corona Island is unlike anything we’ve ever done before. As a brand that’s so deeply connected with nature, we wanted to pay respect to and celebrate the natural environment that supplies our 100% natural ingredients,” said Felipe Ambra, Global Vice President for Corona, according to People.

The goal is to connect people once again, but also allow a connection with the outdoors as responsibly as possible. This goal seems especially at the forefront because of Corona’s mission to end up on the NGO Oceanic Global’s Blue Standard program. If it accomplishes this, Corona Island will become the first island with this certification.

“Our hope is that when guests return home, they’ll have fallen in love with nature again, and will be re-energized to be better global citizens in their communities. When people are in love with someone or something, they always do their best to protect it – that’s our objective with Corona Island,” Ambra also said.

Sadly, U.S. citizens aren’t on the list of countries able to visit the island when it opens. Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Paraguay, Peru, and South Africa are on the “yes” list.

It’s a marketing strategy really off on its own individual island compared to other businesses.

Corona Wishes You Happy Holidays

The popular beer brand expanding its reach to an exclusive island. Not only that, but the brand very much wants to be present during the current holiday season.
