Earnhardt Selected to Hall-of-Fame

It has been an eventful year for the Earnhardt family. Dale Jr. learned earlier this year he will be joining his late father, Dale Earnhardt Sr., in the NASCAR Hall-of-Fame. Fox News reports that Junior received 76 percent of the vote the first year he was eligible for the prestigious honor. The 45-year-old is immensely popular among NASCAR enthusiasts, winning the sport’s most popular driver award several times. He won 26 races during his Cup Series career and retired in 2017.

Earnhardt Sr. died in 2001 when he crashed competing in the Daytona 500.
