Daytona Bike Week 2021: Everything to Know About the Annual Event

Daytona Bike Week kicked off last Friday. However, there’s still plenty of time to get to Daytona Beach and enjoy the festivities. If you’re thinking about a weekend trip to check it out, you’re in the right place. We’re going to look at what’s happening when it’s happening, and more.

Before you pack your bags and head to Florida, there are some things to keep in mind. Firstly, about this time every year, Daytona Beach becomes a Mecca for bikers from all around. So, things might get a little rowdy. If you’re prepared for that, then you’re pretty much all set to cut loose and enjoy Daytona Bike Week.

What to Do at Daytona Bike Week

The festivities are well underway at Daytona Bike Week but there’s still plenty left on the calendar. If you’re reading this before heading that way. There’s a good chance you won’t be there until at least March 10th. So, that’s where we’ll start.

The Revved Up Ride-In Bike Show is taking place on the 10th in the Beaver Bar. That same day you can catch, or participate in, the V-Twin Visionary Bike Show as well as the Daytona Performance Motorcycle Show.

The Eleventh is the Annual Trike and Sidecar Day at Daytona Bike Week. If you’re hauling a sidecar or riding a trike, you get in free. Also, the annual Leather and Lace MC Open House takes place that day. Leather and Lace is a motorcycle club formed by women for women who are motorcycle enthusiasts but don’t feel at home with other clubs. You can also get in on the Ruff Ride Poker Run that day. The poker run is a fundraiser that benefits the Halifax Humane Society.

There are also a few swap meets and even more bike shows going on during Daytona Bike Week. But, things get even more interesting on Saturday night.

Bike Week Concerts

If you want to have some brews, see some bikes, and catch some live music, Daytona Bike Week has you covered. You can catch some local Daytona-area bands like Diesel, Rockit Fly, and Greye among others while you’re there. You can also check out a show by the legendary classic rock band Jackyl. Seriously, if you’re like us, it doesn’t matter who is playing. Live music is something we’ve been craving for over a year now.

Where to Go During Daytona Bike Week

Once you get down to Daytona Beach, start your journey at the Daytona Bike Week Welcome Center. It’s located at One Daytona, just across the street from the speedway. Once there, you can get all the details about what’s going on. At the same time, there are local ambassadors on hand to give you some insider information. They’ll direct you to the best spots in town to make your Bike Week adventure even better.

If you’re wondering where to stay while you’re enjoying Daytona Bike Week. You have plenty of options, according to the Bike Week Website. You can stay at a variety of hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts, or choose to sleep under the stars at a campground. Whatever revs your engine.

If you get tired of the biker festivities at Daytona Bike Week, you can step away for something a little different. There are several spots to visit around the Daytona Beach area. You could head over to the Museum of Arts & Sciences, or go check out a lighthouse at Ponce Inlet. You can even hit the tables and play a few hands of poker at The Daytona Beach Kennel Club and Poker Room.

COVID Restrictions

There are some COVID restrictions for Daytona Bike Week. However, they aren’t very strict. As of now, restaurants and bars are permitted to serve at sixty percent capacity. They are also allowed to serve alcohol and other items outdoors. At the same time, there is no mask mandate in Florida. If you go, keep those things in mind. Stay safe out there, whatever you do.
