Disney recently unveiled the first look at President Joe Biden’s animatronic set to open in August at Disney World’s famed Hall of Presidents.

On Monday, six months after President Joe Biden took the oath of office, his animatronic is here. Disney is now ready to give fans a glimpse of his replica.

The decades-old attraction, located inside of Magic Kingdom Park, first opened in 1971. Since its opening, it “has brought to life the heritage of the United States and shared the symbolic importance and uniqueness of the office of the President.”

According to the press release, Imagineers have been working hard on the Biden animatronic over the past several months. Now, the animatronic will be on display when the iconic attraction opens again in August.

The animatronic features Biden wearing a suit and red-and-blue striped tie. It’s also paired with a delivery of the presidential oath of office recorded by Biden himself just for the attraction. This has long been a tradition among presidents for the attraction.

It will also feature a table beside Biden with aviator sunglasses and peach blossoms. The blossoms act as an homage to his home state of Delaware.

“Every detail comes together to create a realistic and symbolic glimpse into the office of the President through the years, from the carefully tailored clothing to the props, documents and furniture placed throughout the stage,” Disney Parks said.

“Next time you visit, you may notice the table next to President Biden is adorned with a few special items, each with their own significance to the President—including peach blossoms to represent his home state of Delaware and a pair of aviators as a nod to his proclivity for the sunglasses.”

When the Hall of Presidents reopens to crowds in August, the Biden animatronic will take center stage. However, it will also be surrounded by animatronics of former presidents.

This also includes former President Donald Trump, whose animatronic “will take its place on stage among those who have previously served.”

From December 2017 to January 19, 2021, Trump’s replica was on display until the day of the Hall of Presidents’ temporary closure. Currently, Disney has not yet released an exact date for the reopening.

In addition, President Biden has not yet publicly commented on his Hall of Presidents animatronic replica. However, plenty of users on social media have weighed in on the topic.

Several people have noted that they are hoping that the animatronic says, “Come on, man, you know the deal.”

Others have said the animatronic actually doesn’t look like President Joe Biden at all. One person quipped that it looks more “like Saturday Night Live’s Jim Carrey.”
