Donald Trump Ex-Campaign Manager Slammed to Ground by Cops, Body Cam Footage Shows

In new body cam footage, Florida police tackled President Donald Trump’s ex-campaign manager to the ground. Before the exchange, the police responded to a call from Brad Parscale’s wife worried he may attempt suicide in their home.

In the video, a shirtless Parscale exited his house to talk with the officers. “She’s lying. I’m not trying to kill myself,” he said approaching one of the officers who told him to “relax.”

As Parscale began to tell his side of the story, another officer told him to “get on the ground”. The officer then tackled Parscale to the ground and several officers handcuffed the ex-campaign manager.

Florida police responded to a call from the wife of the ex-campaign manager.

According to Fort Lauderdale Police Department Sgt. DeAnna Greenlaw, Parscale’s wife made the call. Parscale’s wife told responding officers her husband had access to “multiple firearms”. She said he threatened to harm himself. Police Chief Karen Dietrich also confirmed with CNN his wife reported weapons in the house.

According to Greenlaw, officers “developed a rapport, and safely negotiated for him to exit the home”. Greenlaw said officers hadn’t injured Parscale in the exchange.

The police also transported him to Broward Health Medical Center for observation. This was part of the state’s Baker Act. According to the University of Florida Health, the Baker Act is a Florida law that “enables families to provide mental health services and temporary detention for people impaired by mental illness.”

“He came out and we got him some help,” Dietrich said.

Trump demoted Parscale this summer after a rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. According to CNN, Parscale kept a senior position on the campaign. But sources have rarely seen him in the headquarters recently.

In a statement, Trump campaign’s communication manager Tim Murtaugh expressed his thoughts are with Parscale.

“Brad Parscale is a member of our family and we all love him. We are ready to support him and his family in any way possible,” he said.
