Donald Trump Jr. cannot contain his excitement that rapper Lil Wayne met with his father Donald Trump. The 42-year-old son of the President took to social media on Thursday shortly after the hip hop superstar posted about the meeting.

Trump Jr. shared the same photo that Lil Wayne, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., posted on his timeline. He posted the snap with the caption: “Yasssssss!!! @liltunechi and @realdonaldtrump 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸”

Earlier Thursday afternoon, Lil Wayne revealed that he met with President Donald Trump concerning improvements in the Black community. The Grammy Award winner posted a photo with Trump and used the caption to explain the purpose behind the meeting.

“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done,” Carter wrote.

More Hip Hop Artists Working with Trump

In addition to Lil Wayne, several artists in the hip hop community recently spoke out in favor of working with Donald Trump. Earlier this month, Ice Cube also revealed that he held discussions with President Trump in regards to the “Platinum Plan.”

On Wednesday of this week, Ice Cube joined Comedy Central’s The Daily Show to discuss working with Trump. The 51-year-old hip hop legend revealed that he hopes to work with either political side. His main priority is to help improve the lives of Black Americans.

“I put out a plan, both campaigns wanted to talk to me about it, and I was eager to talk to both campaigns,” he says. “I’m done playing this politics game, joining sides. To me, that doesn’t get the job done. You know, what gets the job done is to try to make a deal with whoever is in power and hopefully they see what we’re going through.”
