Donald Trump Jr. Speaks On His Father’s Love for McDonald’s

In an Instagram post, Donald Trump Jr. discussed his father’s love for fast food and all things McDonald’s. He also took the time to criticize CNN for their commentary on President Donald Trump’s weight.

In the post, Trump Jr. posed with UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal. Masvidal joined Trump Jr. on the campaign trail in Florida, according to Yahoo News. The two teamed together for the Fighters Against Socialism tour, in an effort to win over Hispanic voters. Masvidal and his family immigrated to the country from Cuba, a Communist-run country.

In the post, Trump Jr. wrote, “It turns out hating socialism isn’t the only thing the Masvidals and the Trumps have in common. We also eat way too much McDonald’s (see CNN’s commentary on [Trump’s] diet) so we had to stop and grab some on yesterday’s fighters against socialism bus tour in Florida.”

Trump Jr. is likely referring to an article CNN ran last week, which discussed Trump’s health risks related to COVID-19. The outlet labeled Trump as “clinically obese” and at risk for severe symptoms related to the virus. They also discussed a 2018 physician’s report which listed plaque build-up in Trump’s arteries.

Donald Trump Jr. says his father’s love for fast food is well documented

Trump Jr. continued, discussing his father’s love for the establishment, “We may be onto something here elite athletes and the President of the United States love McDonald’s. Maybe there something special in there. My father may attribute his amazing head of hair to McD’s fries as per the articles last week.”

Trump Jr. references a tweet his father made about McDonald’s on Sept. 30. According to Fox News, the president cited a 2018 study in which a chemical in McDonald’s fries may prevent hair loss. Trump wrote, “No wonder I didn’t lose my hair!”

In 2019, Trump served Clemson, the winners of the college national championship, a buffet of fast food. He had Wendy’s, McDonald’s and Burger King cater the event.
