Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson on Veterans Day 2020: ‘This Day Is For You’

On Wednesday, Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson took to Instagram to thank those that have served our country on this year’s Veterans Day holiday.

The Duck Commander CEO is an avid supporter of America’s military men and women. In fact, his uncle and popular Duck Dynasty co-star Uncle Si is a Vietnam veteran. Uncle Si has even been honored by their local military museum in Monroe, LA – the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum.

For this year’s Veterans Day, Robertson shared a heartfelt message to military veterans on his official Instagram account.

“To all the Veterans of America, thank you!! This day is for you and we all appreciate your service to our country,” Robertson wrote on his Instagram story.

Robertson Participates in Veterans Day Campaign

In the past, Robertson has participated in Veterans Day events to show appreciation for those who sacrificed for our country.

For example, in 2016, Robertson helped promote the “Greenlight a Vet” campaign. As their website explained, “Greenlight a Vet” is a campaign to establish visible national support for our veterans by changing one light to green.

In addition, Walmart joined the campaign to promote the project. Their website states, “America, Let’s Shine a Light on Our Veterans. Change one light to green to join the #GreenlightAVet movement.”

The idea behind the project is to change one light to green in a visible location. It could be on your porch, your home, or at your office. But, the concept is to keep it glowing each day as a symbol of appreciation and support for our veterans.

“Veterans Day is November 11, and I will be participating in Greenlight a Vet to show my support and appreciation for America’s veterans. Join me in shining a light on America’s veterans and lighting up social media by liking and sharing this post. #GreenlightAVet,” Robertson posted on Facebook.
