On Wednesday, legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus endorsed President Donald Trump in a Twitter post and urged undecided Americans to give the president another look.

On Thursday morning, the president’s two eldest sons shared Nicklaus’ endorsement on Twitter. Eric Trump retweeted Nicklaus’ full statement endorsing his father for another four years. He added a caption that read: “Winners surround themselves with winners! @jacknicklaus is the greatest of all time.”

Similarly, Donald Trump Jr. shared the golfer’s endorsement by reposting an article about Nicklaus’ statement. Trump Jr.’s message read: “‘The Golden Bear’ Legend, Jack Nicklaus Endorses Donald J. Trump for President.”

Nicklaus Endorses Trump in 2020 Presidential Election

Nicklaus, 80, wrote a statement endorsing Trump in 2020 that he shared on his Twitter account. He explained that he has gotten to know several presidents “on both sides of the aisle” through the years. Likewise, “The Golden Bear” has gotten to know Trump during his time as president.

The golfer says that Trump has delivered on his promises. In addition, he says he has seen Trump’s “resolve and determination to do the right thing for our country.” Nicklaus thinks that Trump has worked hard for the average person. He says Trump is more diverse than any president he’s ever seen and that he has tried to help people from all walks of life equally.

The 18-time major champion went on to describe his humble upbringing. He talked about being raised in the Midwest in a middle-class family. Additionally, he said both of his grandfathers worked on the railroad and passed on the work ethic to his father who passed it on to him that you can follow your own American dream with hard work.

Nicklaus admitted that he does not always like the things that Trump says and tweets, something he says he has voiced to the President. However, he says he has learned to look past that and focus on Trump’s accomplishments.

“This is not a personality contest; it’s about patriotism, policies, and the people they impact,” Nicklaus wrote. “His love for America and its citizens, and putting his country first, has come through loud and clear.”

The golfer even warned undecided voters of America evolving into a socialist country. He closed by strongly recommending to reelect Trump to another four years in office.
