Gabby Petito Case: Brian Laundrie’s Parents Return Home to Crowd of Bullhorn Protestors

Authorities (and some interesting characters) continue to search for Brian Laundrie in the Gabby Petito case. Petito’s body was found earlier this month and her death was ruled a homicide.

Laundrie’s family has been quiet throughout the whole investigation, speaking only through their lawyer, Steven Bertolino. They reported their 23-year-old son missing on Sept. 17, claiming they last saw him on Sept. 14. No one’s been able to find Laundrie since then, though police want to question him about what happened to Gabby Petito.

They haven’t charged him with her death at this time. But police did issue an arrest warrant for Laundrie after charging him with fraud. He supposedly used another person’s debit card after Petito’s death.

The longer he remains missing, though, the more suspicion is cast on the family. Reporters, FBI, police, and protestors have bombarded the Laundrie residence in North Port, Florida, since her body was found. The parents claim to have no idea where their son is, according to Bertolino.

“They are concerned about Brian and hope the FBI can locate him,” Bertolino wrote to Fox News. “The speculation by the public and some in the press that the parents assisted Brian in leaving the family home or in avoiding arrest on a warrant that was issued after Brian had already been missing for several days is just wrong.”

Despite Bertolino’s claims, people still urge the family to turn Laundrie or themselves in for involvement in Gabby Petito’s death. You can hear them outside the Laundrie residence in the video below. Roberta and Chris Laundrie returned home from an outing amid several bullhorn protestors set up outside the house earlier.

“You guys are murderers. You guys have a murderous son. What were you thinking, helping your son? What were you thinking? Huh?” one bullhorn protestor shouts. “You guys have blood on your hands, too. You helped your son escape… and you should be held accountable for that. Shame on you! Shame on you, Laundrie family.”

Dog the Bounty Hunter Claims Brian Laundrie’s Parents Aided Him in Escaping Authorities for Gabby Petito Case

Dog the Bounty Hunter continues hunting for Gabby Petito’s partner, Brian Laundrie, in Florida’s Fort De Soto Park. The Laundrie family supposedly took two trips to the park earlier this month, one from Sept. 1-3 and one from Sept. 6-8.

“Allegedly, what we’re hearing, is two people left [the campsite] on the 8th. Three people came in on the 6th, and two people left on the 8th. I think he’s been here for sure,” Dog told Fox News. He claimed to see camera footage of Laundrie, as well as registration records from that time period. At this time, no police search Fort De Soto Park.
