It’s been two weeks since a Wyoming coroner confirmed that the body found inside a national park was the missing influencer, Gabby Petito. And in the days that have followed, Gabby’s parents have been desperately pleading for their daughter’s fiance, Brian Laundrie, to come out of hiding and speak to authorities. Laundrie is the main person of interest in Gabby’s murder, and no one has seen him in 17 days.

The FBI believes that Laundrie is somewhere in Florida. But officers have not found any evidence of the 23-year-olds whereabouts. With their search hitting constant dead ends, celebrity bounty hunter Duane Chapman has jumped on the case.

Gabby’s father, Joseph Petito has been active in the case since the day he realized his daughter was missing. He’s been posting on Twitter every day as he waits for news on Gabby’s finance.

And while Petito has been keeping followers updated, he’s noticed that her story has helped other women along the way. Joseph believes that Gabby’s history with domestic violence is “already saving lives.”

“So many stories being sent to us about relationships being left without proper planning for safety, and people are being found due to her influence. We have much more work to do, but it’s a start,” he wrote in a post.

But while the Petitos feel some peace knowing that the conversations about abuse have begun, they still need justice for Gabby. And with hopes of keeping attention on the case and finding Brian Laundrie, her entire family has banded together on social media to post memories and condolences for their slain family member.

Family Members Rememeber Gabby Petito on Social Media

Today (October 2nd), extended family members banded together to remember Gabby on social media.

Gabby’s mother, Nicole Smidt was the first to join Joseph’s online presence when she told her followers that ” Mama bear is getting angry! Turn yourself [email protected] agrees.” Schmidt followed her message with the trending “Justice For Gabby” and “America’s Daughter” hashtags.

Then Gabby Petito’s stepfather, Jim Schmit echoed his wife’s sentiment when he posted a picture of a younger gabby on his Twitter feed and captioned, “It still seems surreal. Miss you Gabs.”

Joseph Petito’s wife also posted about her heartbreak by writing, “Gabby I will love you to the moon and back always and forever.”

And Gabby’s grandmother created a new Twitter page today just so she could so send a tribute to her granddaughter.

“Missing my beautiful granddaughter #gabbypetito everyday,” she captioned alongside a photo of Gabby as a young girl. “My tears won’t stop.”
