With the tragic outcome of the Gabby Petito case, experts still have unanswered questions about the events that led to the woman’s demise. Attention is now turning to the white Ford Transit that Gabby and boyfriend Brian Laundrie traveled in during their road trip. And web sleuths are noticing something strange.

While it’s a small detail, it appears that there are more stickers on the back of the van during parts of their trip. Bodycam footage of the vehicle shows a few souvenir stickers. These are from parks on the trip. In another photo (at the scene where Gabby’s remains were found) it looks like there aren’t any. When law enforcement seized the van from Brian Laundrie’s home, however, the stickers had seemingly reappeared.

It’s unclear what significance this has for the case. However, some are speculating Brian added stickers to the vehicle once Gabby was missing, according to The Sun.

“Looking at the van when it was parked on the 27th near the location of the body, there aren’t as many stickers as the photo after the police confiscated it,” one Facebook user said. “He [Brian] must’ve added stickers after she was missing.”

The van was spotted multiple times in Wyoming around the time Gabby went missing or was likely already murdered. Her remains weren’t discovered until September 19, when the case grabbed national attention.

Gabby Petito’s Tragic End

A month later, Brian’s remains were discovered in the Carlton Reserve – the Florida park Brian said he was going for a hike.

Both Gabby and Brian pooled their resources and bought the van to take on a months-long road trip through the U.S. The two converted it into a living space they could share as they made their travels.

After nearly two months of traveling, Brian notoriously returned home without his 22-year-old girlfriend. Instead of reporting her missing, Brian stayed quiet and then left his Florida home to go into the reserve. A missing person’s report was filed by the Petito family September 11.

With so much speculation about Gabby and Brian’s demise, national attention shifted to domestic violence awareness. Friends of the couple said they sometimes had a toxic relationship and often would break up and then get back together.

Brian was also seen hitting Gabby during an altercation in Utah. The young woman was emotional and upset when police questioned them about the incident.

Now the Laundrie family is grappling with their son’s death as well as constant media attention. The family has asked for time to grieve in light of the events. A notebook found near Brian’s remains will hopefully offer clues as to what happened in Wyoming.
