There has been an update on The Gabby Petito Foundation. Joseph Petito, Gabby’s father released a statement on Twitter. The foundation will hopefully help other families in similar situations to the Petitos.

The tweet revealed that the new Twitter page had been set up for the foundation. Making sure that people follow the right page so people don’t follow a fake account.

The foundation has been created in order to help families with missing children. Funds, resources, and more will be given through the foundation to those in need.

“No one should have to find their child on their own,” Joseph Petito said.

Since his daughter went missing, the nation has been enthralled with the case. Gabby Petito and her boyfriend Brian Laundrie were traveling the country and filming much of their journey. When Laundrie returned to his North Port, Florida home on September 1, he was without Petito.

On September 11, Petito was reported missing and the search began for her. Unfortunately, her remains were found in Wyoming near a campsite the two visited. Since then, Laundrie has been named a person of interest. He currently has an arrest warrant for unauthorized use of a debit card.

So far there have been plenty of tips. Earlier in the investigation, police went out to the Florida wilderness. A trail cam was the alleged evidence. However, it turned out to be someone besides Brian Laundrie. So, officials are still searching for answers in the Gabby Petito case.

Police Investigate New Brian Laundrie Sighting in Gabby Petito Case

Speaking of Brian Laundrie sightings, there was a more recent one just this month. October is just three days in and already police have a new tip in the search for Laundrie. He was possibly spotted in Newnan, Georgia, . So, the Newnan Police Department investigated the situation.

While speaking with Fox News, Chief Brent Blankenship explained that his department had not confirmed an official sighting of Laundrie, but they are keeping their eyes open in the City of Newnan. The tip came in just a few hours after a man in Florida said he saw the person of interest driving a white pick-up truck in Tennessee. That was near the North Carolina border.

Dennis Davis claims he had an interaction with Laundrie. Also, he swears that it was in fact the wanted man in question.

“That was Brian Laundrie I was just talking to. 100%. Not a doubt in my mind.” That wasn’t all he said. “I could tell right away that something wasn’t right with him.”

So, with the new tips, it seems either the search is coming to a close, or people are getting mixed up and hoping that they are seeing Gabby Petito’s former boyfriend. The search continues.
