Gabby Petito Case: Police Issue Warning to Protestors at Laundrie Family Home

No one seems to know where Brian Laundrie is. Currently, the FBI wants to bring him in on a federal warrant for bank fraud. Additionally, he is reportedly the sole person of interest in Gabby Petito’s death. He disappeared in September and he has had no confirmed communication with anyone.

The authorities, civilians, and reality TV personalities have been searching for him for over a month. Many believe that Laundrie’s parents aren’t doing enough to help bring their son to justice. As a result, protestors gather in front of the Laundrie family home. They use bullhorns to yell at them and leave photos of Gabby and other signs in their lawn and on their porch.

As time goes on, the crowds in front of the Laundrie family home have started to shrink. However, one YouTuber, Molly Golightly seems to be a regular in the North Port neighborhood. Her channel is full of videos of her in front of the Laundrie home as well as videos about other aspects of the case. A recent video posted by The Daily Mail shows a North Port police officer approaching Golightly (in black) and other protestors.

The video consists of two different interactions. In the first, the officer approaches a group of protestors to tell them that they parked illegally. Additionally, he says something about someone trying to run them over or off the road in his vehicle. The audio is hard to make out, though.

Then, in a second interaction, the officer informs Golightly that she’s not allowed to go up to the Laundie family’s porch to leave photos of Gabby. However, he made it clear that he was not there to arrest anyone.

Protesting or Harassing the Laundrie Family for YouTube Clout?

The video doesn’t just show the police interactions. We also see part of the so-called protests in front of the home. Golightly and other individuals spent most of the time yelling at the house from the street. However, we can also see that they’re leaving more than photos of Gabby in front of the home.

In what seems like a schoolyard bullying tactic the people in front of the Laundrie family home are making fun of the family’s surname. They leave baskets of dirty laundry. At one point in the video, we see someone scrubbing t-shirts on the grass before putting them in a basket with a bottle of liquid detergent. Then, that woman says “Got some laundry detergent for ya.”

After the police officer left, a man and woman screamed at the Laundrie family home because they called the cops. The man derided the family for involving law enforcement while the woman repeatedly yelled, “no peace,” at the house.

To date, those screaming and leaving things in front of the Laundrie home are no closer to finding Brian than anyone else.
