Gabby Petito: Eerie Photo Shows Brian Laundrie Standing Behind Bars

Internet detectives who hoped to find clues in the death of Gabby Petito found an interesting photo while scrubbing through her Instagram. A photo that she uploaded in February shows the 22-year-old with her fiancee, Brian Laundrie, standing behind bars. While some think this foreshadows Laundrie’s future, others believe it may hold a key to where he is now.

The photo is one of several the couple took while on a trip to Fort DeSoto Park. The historical site is located in Tierra Verde, Florida, near Tampa Bay. In the picture, Gabby Petito smiles as Laundrie grips the iron bars of a window at the Spanish-American War-era fort.

Dog the Bounty Hunter told Fox News that he received a tip that claimed Laundrie and his parents visited Fort DeSoto Park twice in early September, once around the time the 23-year-old went missing on September 14.

“They were registered, went through the gate. They’re on camera. They were here,” the bounty hunter said Monday. “We think at least if he’s not here right now, we are sure he was caught on camera as he went in the gate — that he was here for sure. Not over in the swamp.”

Police are searching for Laundrie at a wildlife preserve near his family’s home. That’s where his parents told investigators he planned to go when he left their house for the last time. But Dog The Bounty Hunter thinks he could at the historical site, about 75 miles south.

Police said they are not searching Fort DeSoto Park, which is 1,130 acres and consists of five keys.

“There’s a lot of little islands around the area where we’re at, that he could get to on a canoe,” the bounty hunter said.

Parents of Brian Laundrie Says Media Speculations Untrue

Police want to question Brian Laundrie about the death of his fiancee, Gabby Petito. The couple was on a cross-country road trip visiting national parks when she stopped calling her family on Aug. 25. Laundrie returned to their Florida home on Sept. 1 alone. The FBI found her body in the Grand Teton National Park two weeks later. A medical examiner ruled her death a homicide.

Though, police have not charged him in the death. They did charge him with fraud for allegedly using someone else’s debit card after Petito’s death.

Laundrie nor his parents have helped in the investigation, leading many to speculate they are hiding something.

His family, through their attorney Steven Bertolino, said they do not know where he is.

“They are concerned about Brian and hope the FBI can locate him,” Bertolino told Fox News. “The speculation by the public and some in the press that the parents assisted Brian in leaving the family home or in avoiding arrest on a warrant that was issued after Brian had already been missing for several days is just wrong.”
