Since Gabby Petito’s disappearance sometime between the end of August and the beginning of September, the case found itself in the public eye. Although her parents reported her as missing on September 11th, police struggle to corroborate the timeline of her disappearance. After weeks of pleading for the Laundrie family to cooperate with the investigation, no such help came from them. In fact, Brian Laundrie reportedly returned to Florida around the first week of September without Gabby Petito and driving her van nonetheless. Instead of inquiring about the circumstances or reaching out to law enforcement, Brian’s parents chose to remain silent. They ignored calls from the Petito family and cries from their neighbors.

Eventually, Brian disappeared. The Laundrie family holds that he took off for the Carlton Reserve sometime Tuesday, September 14th, yet did not notify proper authorities until the 17th. Since then, new information has also come to light, turning the case much darker. Investigators recovered Gabby Petito’s body from the Grand Teton National Park and confirmed homicide led to her death. In wake of the initial autopsy results, the Laundrie family has yet to issue a personal statement regarding anything. Instead, their controversial lawyer continues to push out sporadic statements that the public thinks lack empathy. As neighbors, friends, and witnesses come out, it seems the only silence comes from the Laundrie family. Now, Gabby Petito’s uncle is joining the conversation and blasting the Laundrie family.

Gabby Petito’s Uncle Demands Answers

Previously, FOX reports the Laundrie family attorney, Steven Bertolino, as saying the Laundrie “family is definitely concerned but we don’t want to speculate as to anything more.” Upon the initial autopsy’s findings, Bertolino issued another short statement saying: “May Gabby Rest In Peace.” This statement came after a promised public briefing was supposed to take place, but Bertolino reportedly canceled at the last minute. Actually, his talks with the FBI led him to cancel the press conference.

Gabby Petito’s uncle took issue with all the above, as with a lot of folks, and fired back: “We don’t require nor want your empathy” and “by you trying to show compassion here at this moment is beyond disgusting.”

He took to Instagram to further his message to the Laundrie family. It proceeds as follows:

“As far as the law is concerned this law firm may be immune due to attorney/client privilege…But in the eyes of the public you are as guilty and complicit with this massive cover-up and stalling tactic.”

Chilling Details Continue to Emerge

The internet community has been heavily involved since the very start of the Gabby Petito investigation. Whether officials are holding back information due to its sensitive nature, or they are struggling to corroborate events, the internet sleuths want to help. Some of their most recent findings are pretty dark. Notably, photos started surfacing of Brian Laundrie’s bedroom. Though the photos are old, a gun hangs on the wall surface raising some alarms. Moreover, sleuths think they got a hold of Brian Laundrie’s Pinterest account which seemingly contains “cryptic” messages prior to Gabby’s death.

The FBI escalated the case to their “America’s Most Wanted” database and asks the public for their help. Tips may be submitted to 1-800-CALL FBI or tips.fbi.gov
