Zachery Ty Bryan, who played Tim Allen’s onscreen son Brad Taylor on popular 1990’s family sitcom Home Improvement, was reportedly arrested for strangling his girlfriend.

On Friday night, the police arrested the 39-year-old actor in Eugene, OR. His neighbors reportedly called the authorities after an altercation of sorts at a North Eugene apartment complex, TMZ reports.

The Eugene Police Department reportedly found Bryan sitting on the ground outside the apartment upon arrival. His 27-year-old girlfriend was found at a neighboring apartment.

The Associated Press reports that Bryan assaulted the victim and choked her. She allegedly attempting calling 911 but he took her phone away.

Despite the physical dispute, Bryan’s girlfriend declined medical assistance. As of Saturday, Bryan was booked into Lane County Jail.

Bryan currently faces three charges. The police booked him on strangulation, fourth-degree assault, and interfering with making a report.

The alleged victim of the assault is believed to be a new girlfriend. Current reports state that Bryan’s estranged wife, who lives in California, was not the victim.
