Horseback Rider Spotted Taking a Trip Through a McDonald’s Drive-Thru

From time to time we all need a little comfort food and where better to satisfy that urge than longstanding fast-food giant McDonald’s.

We all know how simple the drive-thru ordering process is for getting your McDonald’s on. You simply tell the person on the microphone what you want, pull around, pay and pick up your food. It’s super easy and convenient and is perfect for people who are on the go or in a hurry. The whole McDonald’s drive-thru process takes very little out of your day. It’s so easy and convenient that you can probably complete and order while atop a horse. That is exactly what one Wales woman did earlier this week. Yes, it is exactly what you are imagining right now — a woman on a horse going through the McDonald’s drive-thru line.

We don’t know what the woman ordered or if she got a nice treat for the horse on his best behavior. Perhaps she got a Big Mac or a quarter-pounder and, of course, no McDonald’s meal is complete without the world’s saltiest fries. Wash it all down with a large beverage and this horseback rider had her a lovely comfort meal. Did she eat her food while still atop the horse? We may never know the answer to this question.

The moment was captured by Wales Resident Simon White, who couldn’t believe what he was seeing. White took several photos of the bizarre incident in order to prove what he had just seen. Using the phone on his camera, White photographed the woman and her horse waiting in the McDonald’s drive-thru line with other vehicles. He also snapped shots of her pulling up to the window, paying the cashier and departing with her meal. Check out the photos for yourself below.

McDonald’s Drive-Thru Now Serving Horses

White tweeted on the photos for the world to see earlier today (Friday).

“Only in Wales,” he writes next to a laughing emoji. “What does a horse order from McDonald’s?”

White said some restaurant patrons came outside to take photos of the unusual event. He says some even gave the woman a round of applause for equestrian abilities.

“I was on my way home from collecting my little one from school when we stopped by for something to eat,” he says in a recent interview. “We were sitting there waiting for our food when she came round the corner. I couldn’t believe it – the horse was very well-behaved though and she got served no problem, before riding off. A few of the kids who were sitting inside came out to take pictures and cheer her as they thought it was great. She was served and rode off. Then I passed her on the road where she was eating the burger.”

The White family now has a great McDonald’s story to tell and memory to share.
