During the national anthem, NFL teams Los Angeles Chargers and Cincinnati Bengals stood together in unity in the middle of the field. They locked arms while the national anthem played. They also stood together for “Lift Every Voice.”

“As this country continues to see instances of racial discrimination and injustices, it is time for us to act,” Bengals center Trey Hopkins said.

Buccaneers stood for ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing.’ The Saints started an NFL team initiative in Breonna Taylor’s honor.

Both the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers stood for the national anthem. The lone exception was New Orleans Malcolm Jenkins, who knelt during the anthem. The Buccaneers also stood at the goal line for “Lift Every Voice.”

The Saints announced an initiative to combat social inequalities called the “Say Her Name” initiative after the police shooting death of Breonna Taylor.

The Cardinals protested in the NFL locker room. Some players from the 49ers knelt during the national anthem.

The Arizona Cardinals stayed in the locker room for the national anthem in silent protest. The San Francisco 49ers, Kaepernick’s former team, were on the field. Most players stood for the anthem except for Richie James and Jerick McKinnon.

Several Rams players took a knee, but only one Cowboys player did.

Several players from the Los Angeles Rams took a knee during the national anthem, but Dontari Poe was the lone Dallas Cowboys player to do so.

“I will assure you, our players, they are sensitive to and can respect what America is as it relates to the flag,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said told 105.3 The Fan. “And I would hope that our fans, which I think that they will, will understand that our players have issues that they need help on. And they need help along with the majority of America. They need help.”
