Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner’s COVID-19 Test Results Released

Less than a day after President Donald Trump and his wife Melania were sent into quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19, his daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kusher have tested negative.

White House aides and advisers have been urgently tested in the wake of the president’s test results. Additionally, Vice President Mike Pence and his wife also received negative results.

On Wednesday, the president’s adviser Hope Hicks tested positive for the coronavirus after showing symptoms. The Trump administration is focusing on addressing the spread in the days following. Hicks travelled with various administration staff – including Ivanka Trump and Kushner – to a Minnesota presidential campaign rally.

Supposedly, Hicks isolated from the rest of the passengers aboard Air Force One on their way back to Washington, D.C. However, the president and first lady immediately quarantined as a precaution even before they received test results.

Trump Campaign Turned Upside Down After Positive Tests

With only six weeks until election day, Trump’s positive diagnosis has upended his presidential campaign. He may not be able to continue his in-person campaign rallies. In addition, he may have to face Democratic nominee Joe Biden virtually in the next debate in two weeks.

Ivanka Trump took to Twitter to share prayers for her father and step-mother.

“Praying for the swift recovery of my father and Melania and for all those impacted by COVID-19. As they fight this together, the President will continue to fight for the people of this great country,” she wrote.

Kushner played a prime role in the administration’s pandemic response. In fact, early on he took charge of a task force meant to obtain millions of personal protective equipment – including masks for essential workers.

Recently, a former employee of Kushner’s team recently went public with a harsh account of its performance. The volunteer team’s lack of experience in public health or logistics “distressed and disturbed” the employee. He claimed that employees had to use their own laptops for front-line federal government work. Furthermore, he said he received pressure to create a data model “fudging the predicted number of fatalities”.
