Where is Brian Laundrie? That is the question that has been on the minds of many people across America for almost a month. John Walsh – of “America’s Most Wanted” and “In Pursuit With John Walsh” fame – has his own ideas about where the 23-year-old could be hiding.

Laundrie was the boyfriend of Gabby Petito. The two had been traveling across the American West in a van when she reportedly went missing. The body of the 22-year-old was found in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming on Sept. 19. A few days later, her death was ruled a homicide. Recently, a coroner announced that her death was the result of strangulation.

Weeks before Gabby Petito’s body was found, Laundrie returned to the North Point, Florida, home of his parents on Sept. 1. He then disappeared on Sept. 13 or Sept. 14. The search for him began not long after that.

It is important to note that Brian Laundrie has not been charged in connection with Gabby Petito’s death. He is, however, a person of interest. The search for Laundrie has been focused on the Carlton Reserve in Florida. But, there have been reports of him being seen in other places, including North Carolina. Still, he has not been found. So, again we ask “Where is Brian Laundrie?”

According to The New York Post, John Walsh will reportedly reveal his new thoughts on that question on Wednesday, Oct. 13. He will do so as part of the television special “Gabby Petito: ID Special Report.”

Part of what Walsh has discussed is the role he believes Laundrie’s parents – Chris and Roberta Laundrie – are playing in their son’s efforts to avoid being found by law enforcement. “I absolutely believe that his family is helping him stay on the run,” Walsh also said.

John Walsh Believes Brian Laundrie Has Left the United States of America

John Walsh also believes that Brian Laundrie is no longer in the United States of America. Tips he has received have led Walsh to this conclusion. One location was in the Bahamas. Another possible location is in Mexico.

“We’ve had over a thousand solid tips to the ‘In Pursuit’ hotline. Most of them are about my theory of his father driving him to the Mexican border and letting him go through Mexico. It’s a great time to be heading south, because [there are] thousands of refugees … I mean, he could walk across the border naked with his hair on fire, and nobody would notice him. I think that’s maybe where he’s hiding — and somebody might be helping him,” Walsh said.

Unsurprisingly, the publicity of this case had led many people to call into John Walsh’s hotline to share information about Brian Laundrie. Also, unsurprisingly, not all of the information is credible. “We’ve got people from all over the world calling saying that Martians got him and took him to another planet, and he’s inside hiding in an alligator in a Louisiana swamp,” Walsh also shared.
