Kentucky Man Used a Flame Thrower to Clear Snow While Dressed as Cousin Eddie

A Kentucky man’s portrayal of Cousin Eddie from “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” made the social media rounds recently.

Timothy Browning had some fun from the iconic movie back in December 2020, according to WDRB. In his best Eddie impression, a relative caught the man in his driveway wearing just a bathrobe, socks, slippers, and a hat.

The next thing you’re going to tell me is that the guy said that the sh*tter is full.

“Browning snow services removal now available!” a woman shooting the video said as she caught the Ashland, Ky. resident on tape. It was 30 seconds of pure gold.

The man drinks a beer with a cigar in his mouth in the famous “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” scene. When almost done with the beer, he spikes it and uses two hands to burn off a little more snow before looking up at the relative’s camera. Those pesky snowflakes just melt away in the instant flames. The fact that he used one hand and didn’t set anything on fire was pretty amazing.

But, man, that flamethrower was pretty boss in an alternate video angle.

Christmas Twitter loved it, pushing it out to many and picking up more than 120,000 views. And this time of year, maybe there’s a big market for your average compact flamethrower. Just try putting that bad boy under the tree, though.

Want To Get Your Own Cousin Eddie Flamethrower?

I mean, not a little figurine or photo with “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” actor Randy Quaid having fun on screen. The real, flipping deal.

Well, eBay’s got one for under a grand. A Ransomville, New York flamethrower seller stated it’s new-used and likely just tested. You’ll, of course, have to come up with your own safe fuel source, MacGyver. Also, if you’re in city limits or really just about anywhere, you might want to check your laws and ordinances on something like that.

Back in 2020, social media loved the videos. Some snow victims clamored for it, while others brought their jokes to the Twitter party. No “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” ugly sweater at the party, by the way.

One asked, “what could possibly go wrong,” while another lamented that he needed that earlier in the morning. Another man threw out the “work smarter, not harder” saying while another user joked, “That’s a man that hates to shovel snow.”

“National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” Stunt Costly?

Another man from Virginia did the flamethrower without all the cute “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” references. Amherst man Nathanael Caplinger did the same thing back in 2018. His Twitter video looked like he was safely away from everything when he pulled the flame trigger.

Interestingly enough, his act got reviewed on the social media forum Reddit. Website Rare reported on the conversation.

Redditor KahBhume (Get it?) explains that you could get around 17 feet per gallon of gasoline, making it cost a lot more to get rid of snow than using a shovel.
