On Christmas Eve, actor Kevin Spacey posted another Christmas video on YouTube telling those that have suffered in 2020 that things will eventually get better.

For the third year in a row, the disgraced actor has come out with another short video around Christmas. This year, Spacey shared a video titled “1-800 XMAS.” At the beginning of the clip, he once again seems to act like his House of Cards character Frank Underwood. Yet, his tone quickly shifts to a more sincere attitude as he talks about people who have struggled this year.

Spacey says that many people have reached out to him in 2020. The actor says they’ve shared their own hardships with him throughout the year. In addition, he says his own difficulties are the only reason he’s been able to be there for them.

“While it’s been a privilege to offer support, I have to say, frankly it’s also been beyond my abilities. And it’s bigger than me,” Spacey explains. “Because heartbreakingly so many have talked about things having gotten so bad for them that they’ve contemplated taking their own lives.”

The actor begs those that are thinking about ending their lives to reconsider. Additionally, he promises that things will indeed get better for those who may think otherwise.

“If you feel there is no path for you, whatever your situation, I promise you there is a path. At this time during this holiday, and beyond,” Spacey says. “Even if you don’t feel it, there are people out there who understand and who can help, because you are not alone.”

“So I just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, a great 2021. And say to all those out there who might be suffering, it gets better. It does get better,” Spacey concluded.

Kevin Spacey and His Previous Christmas Videos

In 2018, Kevin Spacey posted his first Christmas-themed video amid felony charges for alleged sexual assault. During his first post since being accused by an 18-year-old Massachusetts man in 2016, he went into character as Frank Underwood in its entirety. The bizarre clip captured him addressing his character being killed off in House of Cards and speaking on the sexual assault allegations.

“All this presumption made for such an unsatisfying ending. And to think it could have been such a memorable send off,” Spacey said in his first holiday video. “I can promise you this: If I didn’t pay the price for the things we both know I did, I’m certainly not going to pay the price for the things I didn’t do.”

On Christmas Eve 2019, he shared his second straight holiday video on YouTube. He once again played the part of Frank Underwood in the clip. He said for his 2020 ballot, he wanted to “cast my vote for more good in this world.”

However, the actor has mostly stayed off social media and out of the public eye since the allegations.
