Lil Wayne and Girlfriend Reportedly Split Up After He Endorsed Donald Trump

by Chris Haney

Last week, rapper Lil Wayne seemingly endorsed President Donald Trump after the two met to discuss issues relating to the Black community. However, Lil Wayne’s model girlfriend Denise Bidot reportedly called things off with the celebrity following his political choice.

On Sunday, Bidot shared a veiled post to her Instagram story that stated, “Sometimes love just isn’t enough.” Additionally, she added a broken heart emoji, which immediately sent social media into a frenzy with rumors of the famous couple calling it quits. Lil Wayne – real name Dwayne Carter Jr. – has not commented on the matter, nor shared any information on social media.

Yet, all signs point towards the couple breaking up following the rapper’s meeting with Trump. In fact, Carter Jr. and Bidot both stopped following each other on Instagram. Beforehand, Carter Jr.’s model girlfriend was the only person he followed on the platform. In contrast to the more than 13 million people that follow the rapper on Instagram, he is now following literally no one.

A hip hop and urban-based news source SOHH, posted on Twitter showing that Bidot’s account is indeed not following Carter Jr.’s account anymore.

“Lil Wayne’s girlfriend Denise Bidot has reportedly broken up with him after his Donald Trump endorsement,” SOHH wrote. “The pair have unfollowed each other as well.”

Lil Wayne Meets With President Trump, Has a ‘Great Meeting’

As previously reported, Carter Jr. met with Trump on Oct. 29, just five days before the 2020 presidential election.

The two discussed criminal reform and the president’s future plans for the Black community. Evidently, Carter Jr. was impressed with Trump and his Platinum Plan. In fact, he posted on his official Twitter account saying they had “a great meeting.”

“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done,” Carter wrote.

Carter shared a photo of the pair together after their discussion. The two seemed to share a positive dialogue as they both smiled and gave a thumbs up to the camera. Subsequently, Carter seemed to endorse Trump because of his history of criminal justice reform along with approving of Trump’s Platinum Plan.
