You thought your job was bad. A KFC employee dealt with an irate customer who jumped onto the counter and threatened to stab him for refusing to serve her.

The incident occurred at a KFC restaurant in Fresno, California. The KFC employee refused to serve the woman because she didn’t wear a face mask into the establishment. Many states including California have mask mandates when entering establishments such as restaurants. In August 2020, KFC also dropped its “Finger Lickin’ Good” slogan due the coronavirus pandemic.

When the employee refused to serve her mashed potatoes and gravy, the woman became hostile and angry. She leaped onto the counter and threatened the employee.

“I’m f–king hungry!” she screamed in the clip shared on TikTok. “Give me something to eat! Now!”

[The video has profanity and may not be suitable for all viewers, so be warned].

The KFC employee threatened to call the police.

The employee refused the woman’s request. He told her that it’s against company policy to serve customers who aren’t wearing face masks.

“I can’t … I’ll get fired,” he said. The employee fled to the back of the kitchen to escape the woman as she climbed on the counter. He threatened to call the cops, and the customer screamed for him to “do it.”

“You don’t even work here!” she also yelled into the back of the kitchen. At one point, she threatened to stab the employee if he didn’t fulfill her order.

“She wanted some mashed potatoes and gravy. Or he was going to get stabbed,” said Leah Chastain, who uploaded the video to TikTok.

Afterwards, the woman walked across the counter and kicked away a promotional sign. She also called the restaurant “disgusting” and “nasty.” She finally gave up and left, screaming profanity as she did so.

According to the New York Post, it isn’t clear if the police arrested or charged the customer.
