As the Christmas season rapidly approaches, decorations are going up all over the country. Additionally, some are using social media to share their displays.
The White House will also be no different this year, as First Lady Melania Trump takes charge of turning the house into a Christmas delight. Trump recently reveals the theme for this year’s Christmas decoration is based upon a important moment in U.S. history as well as other details.
The first lady also notes this year’s theme is celebrating the 100h anniversary of the country’s ratification of the 19th amendment. The amendment establishes voting rights for American citizens regardless of sex. The exact wording of the 19th amendment is furthermore as follows:
“The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.”
Furthermore, the amendment gave women voting rights. Additionally, the amendment states congress shall have power to enforce by appropriate legislation.
