Photos: Benjamin Keough Laid To Rest by Grandfather Elvis Presley at Graceland

Last week, the late son of Lisa Marie Presley, Benjamin Keough, was laid to rest alongside his grandfather, Elvis Presley, in Graceland three months after his death. The two are buried in Graceland’s Meditation Garden alongside other members of the Presley family.

Keough, 27, passed away on July 12th of this year. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office reported that an autopsy revealed the cause of death. Officials ruled his death as suicide by gunshot wound.

On Thursday, the official Facebook page for Elvis Presley’s Graceland home in Memphis, TN confirmed the news.

“Benjamin Storm Presley Keough was laid to rest in the Meditation Garden at Graceland with his family including his grandfather, Elvis Presley, great-grandmother, Gladys Presley, great-grandfather, Vernon Presley and great-great-grandmother, Minnie Mae Presley,” the post read.

Meanwhile, the first glimpse of Keough’s Graceland grave is circulating online. A fan account on Twitter of his sister Riley Keough first shared the photo.

Priscilla Presley, Elvis’ ex-wife and Benjamin’s grandmother, follows the fan’s Twitter account. An article on Keough’s burial in The Daily Memphian – Memphis’ local newspaper – also shared the post .

Supposedly, one of the photos taken on October 1, shows Elvis’ grandson’s final resting place in the garden beside Graceland’s pool.

Keough’s grave is located on the opposite end of his grandfather’s, across the garden fountain. In addition, Elvis’ grave is located between his grandmother Minnie and father Vernon. In contrast to other Presley family members buried there, Keough’s grave is a chest tomb.

More on Lisa Marie Presley’s Son Benjamin Keough’s Death

Keough was the son of Lisa Marie Presley and musician Danny Keough. Additionally, he is also the grandson of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, and the brother of actress and model Riley Keough.

In contrast to some of Keough’s family members, he mostly lived his life out of the spotlight. However, he does have one acting credit to his name and earned a $5 million record deal in 2009.

Keough was well-known for his striking resemblance to his grandfather, Elvis. Lisa Marie Presley touched on her son’s looks at one point.

“Ben does look so much like Elvis. He was at the Opry and was the quiet storm behind the stage,” she said. “Everybody turned around and looked. Everybody was grabbing him for a photo because it is just uncanny.”

Supposedly, Presley’s song “Storm and Grace” is about Keough, whose middle name is Storm.
