This Halloween, Hulk Hogan seemed to be a favorite costume. This is no different than any other year, as the former WWE wrestler typically inspires thousands to imitate his classic handlebar mustache and du-rag. Hogan took to Twitter to repost all of the folks who copied his look.

The costume seemed to be an overwhelming favorite among babies and young children. This makes sense as the era of kids who grew up watching Hulk Hogan are now becoming parents themselves. While many of these babies may not know exactly who they are imitating now, they will be sure to recognize the WWE legend at some point in their lives.

The instantly recognizable costume has been immensely popular for years. Children of the ’70s, 80’s, 90’s, and 00’s alike grew up watching the flagship wrestling program. As those children grow up to have children of their own, the Hulk Hogan Halloween costume is sure to continue its popularity.

Hulk Hogan History

Hulk Hogan, now 67, helped lead the boom of 80’s wrestling when he joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF now WWE) in 1983. In his nine years with the Federation, Hogan won the WWF Championship 5 times, second all-time in franchise history. He has made several returns to the WWE since his 1992 departure, including his current stint from 2018 to the present.

Hogan left the Federation to join the World Championship Wrestling in 1993. There he won another franchise-record six WCW World Heavyweight Championships. He still holds the record for the longest reign in company history. After his first three years with WCW, Hogan adopted his alter ego, “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan. Under that name, he led the New World Order (NWO) stable of wrestlers.

Despite a scandal in the summer of 2015 that resulted in his departure from WWE, Hulk Hogan continues to inspire. He has wrestled all over the world and appeared with several sectors and leagues of professional wrestling. He has also had a prominent film career beginning with Rocky III as well as some attempts at music and video games. Whether the costumes are worn by babies dressed by their parents, or kids who are growing up with him now, the Hulk Hogan costume will continue to be popular for Halloweens to come.
