In honor of Veterans Day, the sunglasses company Pit Viper is launching three pairs of ballistics-rated sunglasses for military members. You may know Pit Viper and its surrounding craze from the many TikToks and Youtube videos. Soon after its launch, people began to go crazy over the 90s style shades that appear to go along with the comeback of the mullet.

However, the company originally began using military surplus sunglasses which they took and added fun colors to the frames. Pit Viper announced the special Pit Viper BALL-ISTIC collection with three different sets. Each will include 100% UV protection, a ballistic-rated 2.2mm polycarbonate lens and 11% light transmission.

“We are thrilled to come full circle and release BALL-ISTIC Pit Vipers,” said co-founder, Garcin in a statement, per BroBible. “We’ve come a long way from our original product, and are proud to create the first-ever Pit Vipers made specifically to be worn in uniform.”

They also said of the new sunglasses:

“Pit Viper’s goal is to create quality, functional products for everyone,” says Pit Viper President, Dave Bottomley. “We have a ‘take care of each other’ ethos that encourages everyone to have a good time and to be proud of who they are. The Buy One Give One promotion celebrates the sacrifices of those who have fought to protect this good time and freedom of expression. Lastly, those in uniform Demand Respect and Authority, and we think they should look damn good while doing it.”

At just $129.99, the company will donate up to 1200 pairs with the purchase of one pair while supplies last. They’ll also be handing them out to service members during the next Washington Football Team game.

Further, the Pit Viper BALL-ISTIC line will feature matte colors, anti-slip rubberized frames and non-mirrored lenses. They’re pretty much super cool-looking. In sand, green or black coloring, they’ll also match any uniform. Check out the shades in action, actually getting shot with a gun below.

Celebrities Tribute Service Members on Veterans Day

In addition to Pit Viper, many athletes, TV stars and other celebrities all shared tributes to our service members on Veterans Day this year. Each message or throwback photo came with a heartfelt note to the men and women of the armed forces.

Many people shared their stories of family members who’ve volunteered in the line of duty.

One of those is NASCAR racer Bubba Wallace. The driver shared a photo on Twitter along with a message about what that service means to him.

“Happy #VeteransDay to the brave men and women that have served our country. Those who live in freedom will always be grateful to those who helped preserve it! Proud of the courage and dedication. Thank you!” The post caption reads.
