Reese’s is doing a little something different with its lineup of treats this year.
The Hershey Company is bringing out a new kind of peanut butter cups: Reese’s Big Cups with Pretzels. These will be new, oversized peanut butter cups with crunchy pretzels throughout each snack.
After a social media rebrand to “Salty Reese’s,” the company sent out a press release.
“Let’s face it, we’re all feeling a little bit salty this year,” wrote Ian Norton, the company’s senior director. “In true Reese’s fashion, we channeled our feelings into sweet and salty deliciousness with new Reese’s Big Cups with Pretzels.”
The Twitter account started spouting sarcastic comments meant to be “salty.” This is all in preparation for the cups’ imminent launch. You’ll be able to get the 1.3-oz standard single up and the 2.6-oz king-size cups as of November for $1.49 and $2.09. Then, in January 2021, there will also be miniature pretzel peanut butter cups.
Reese’s is already home to several snack varieties
There are several different types of peanut butter cups from the brand already on the market. You can choose from white chocolate cups, cups with mini peanut butter candies inside, you name it. It seems that there’s also another Big Cup on the way too. It might even feature a junk food staple: potato chips.
There are plenty of different ways to get your Reese’s on. It seems with this new push, there might be several new flavors on the horizon instead of just one.
