Saved By The Bell star Dustin Diamond is reportedly in “a lot of pain” while battling his recent cancer diagnosis.

On January 12, the child actor was hospitalized in Florida after suffering from an undisclosed illness. Diamonds rep told Us Magazine that health officials were “running tests on Dustin, and they’re hoping to get answers soon.”

Two days later, they had their results— cancer.

A Facebook statement confirmed the diagnosis, saying, “At this time, we can confirm that Dustin does have cancer. Dustin will disclose more information once it is available and a plan moving forward is made.”

The rep also told the magazine that his prognosis might be grim. He said that Dustin Diamond potentially has stage IV. However, they are still waiting to “confirm it with the doctors” before any details are shared. He is currently undergoing treatments.

Dustin Diamond’s Diagnosis is “Not Good at All”

Another source told the news outlet that it will be a long and painful process for the 44-year-old actor.

“It’s not good. It’s not good at all. He’s going to be in the hospital for a while. He’s getting through his treatments now. It’s tough. It’s very hard. He’s going through a lot of pain, but he still keeps his spirits up. Right now, he’s just suffering. He has his ups and downs where he’s great one minute, but then he can be in a lot of pain — tears. It’s such an emotional time.”

On Tuesday, the stage IV cancer diagnosis still had not been confirmed. The insider added that only a few people could visit Dustin Diamond due to Covid protocol.

“We’re taking it step by step, day by day. Nobody is allowed to visit him at this time. Maybe one or two people, but there’s constant COVID testing for any visitors. So, no one can really visit. He’s been communicating to his close circle via video chat.”

Fellow Saved By the Bell stars like Mario Lopez and Tiffani Thiessen took to social media to wish Dustin Diamond well and share their support on his battle.
