Air quality in the East to remain safe

Thankfully, easterners worried about breathing in harmful wildfire smoke can take a relaxing breath. The air quality in eastern states is to remain safe.

According to NASA, the smoke is so high up in the atmosphere that it will not affect eastern lungs. It is, however, set to drastically impact East Coast skies.

Meteorologist Matt Benz clarifies to USA TODAY, stating that “amazingly – wildfire smoke has traveled thousands of miles and finally has reached the East. It looks like clouds, but it is smoke. And we are stuck with this until the weather pattern changes.”
