Feeling sluggish this morning? Maybe consider skipping the line at Starbucks. The famous coffee brand is facing supply shortages.

I’m really sorry if this ruins your day, but maybe that office coffee machine may not make the worst coffee in the world. I mean, it’s no ice vanilla latte with 40 shots of espresso, made with love and magic, but it will keep you awake throughout the day.

According to Fox Business, Starbucks across the country are experiencing supply shortages, and thirsty, coffee-crazed customers are not happy about it.

A spokesperson for the company confirmed the terrible rumors, calling the shortage temporary.

“We are experiencing temporary supply shortages of some of our products,” a Starbucks spokesperson said through email. “Specific items will vary by market and store, and some stores will experience outages of various items at the same time. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working quickly and closely with our supply chain vendors to restock items as soon as possible.”

Some of the low items in question include pastries, sandwiches, syrups, bases, iced coffee, and cups. You know, only the essentials.

Starbucks Shortage Has People Furious

Naturally, people took their grievances to social media to complain about the dreaded Starbucks shortages.

You saw what happened when people were low on toilet paper. Just wait until you see what a coffee shortage would do to people. Shivers.

“Starbucks has a shortage of everything. Like wtf is the world coming to. if this is the end, Lord let me know.”

And not to be dramatic or anything, but….

“The fact that my favorite & only drink at Starbucks is going on a temporary hold bc of the ingredient shortage makes this day 47394738 times worse.”

This Starbucks worker pleaded to customers, asking for their patience.

“PLEASE DON’T YELL AT STARBUCKS BARISTAS IF WE RUN OUT OF SOMETHING TO MAKE YOUR DRINK! STARBUCKS IS HAVING A SHORTAGE ON ITEMS, AND WE (BARISTAS) HAVE NO CONTROL OVER IT! THANK YOU!”

In addition, FOX Business previously reported that the U.S. has been experiencing an ongoing truck driver shortage that has been affecting retail shipments, which only adds to the issue.

A TikTok video under the Starbucks Shortage hashtag shows one store in California was out of 15 items in May. These items include white mocha, cinnamon dolce, apple juice, kiwi refreshers, strawberries, blackberries, dark roast, caramel sauce, hazelnut, peach, guava, drink trays, chai, matcha, and dragon fruit.

Yeah, I’ll take a water, please.

Exact times have not been given for when the supplies will be back in stores. In the meantime, you can get a coffee maker on Amazon for about $20. It should pay for itself in about a week’s time.
