Get ready motorcycle fans, because it’s about to be a hot weekend at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2021 out in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
The world’s largest motorcycle rally will kick off its 81st anniversary on Friday, August 6 until Sunday, August 15. Kota Territory News Weather has provided a weather forecast for the upcoming weekend as hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts prepare to roll in.
By late afternoon on Friday, highs will hit 87 degrees. And low temps won’t drop below the mid-60s. Visitors can expect lots of cloud cover to welcome them into the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2021 on Day 1. Even a “strong to modestly severe storm” is possible on Friday afternoon. Make sure to keep an eye out for wet roadways, which could cause “hazardous travel.”
Saturday will be more of the same. High temps reaching 88 degrees, partly cloudy skies, and potential thunderstorms later in the afternoon. Sunday, on the other hand, will be far hotter and sunnier. The temperature will shoot up to 94 degrees, and clouds will make way for sunny skies all day.

According to the Sturgis website, the event will have three cameras set up in the downtown area. One hangs off the Sturgis Liquor Store and provides a look at Lazelle Street. Another has been placed at the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum, providing a good view of Main Street and Junction. The last camera is located at Hotel Sturgis, offering a glance at Harley-Davidson Way and Main Street.

Last year, around 460,000 thousand people rolled into Sturgis, South Dakota for the rally. Similar numbers are expected for this year’s rally.
