Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2021: Watch Thousands of Bikers Come to Town as Rally Kicks Off With Live Camera Feeds

by Jonathan Howard

As one of the most unique events in all of American, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is something to behold. This year, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2021 is off to a great start. Last year’s attendance numbers were down. However, this year visitors are descending on the small South Dakota town, and attendees are out in full force. This means the state of South Dakota is flooded with motorcycles and bikers and ready for a wild time.

For those who are not able to get on the open road and attend Sturgis for themselves, there is good news! Live streams are running throughout the event. Viewers can see the atmosphere on the streets of Sturgis and maybe see someone you know walking around.

The view at Junction and Main can be seen via live stream. The intersection looks like a busy one. With police directing traffic and keeping folks from colliding, the festival booths and tents can be seen lining the street. Sturgis is a homage to many people. Lots of cities have bike weeks. Throughout the southeast, biker rallies are hosted every year. However, Sturgis is an event all its own.

This year is the 81st Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Organizers expect over 700,000 people to attend the event by the time it is all said and done. The event kicked off today, August 6th at noon. A parade through Sturgis featured the Budweiser Clydesdale horses. Each year the event has some great live music for attendees to enjoy.

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2021 Live Music

While the event is known for the bikes and tough-looking guys riding them, there is more than that to Sturgis. One of the biggest draws to the event has to be the live music performances the organizers put together. This year there is going to be quite the treat for those attending.

This year there are a couple of special performances. Clint Black and Kid Rock are set to take the stage. However, the list doesn’t stop there. The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2021 will also feature Puddle of Mud, Stone Temple Pilots, and REO Speedwagon. If those bands don’t tickle your fancy, wait, there’s more. Colt Ford, Black Stone Cherry, Anthrax and so much more will be appearing throughout the rally.

Yet, there’s more. This year, ZZ Top will perform. The show marks special significance for the band due to the fact that on July 28th ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill passed at his residence in Houston, Texas. While the legend cannot be replaced, the band will keep things moving along.

While Sturgis has plenty to do, the ZZ Top performance should be worth the visit in itself. Last year, less than 500,000 people attended, with numbers back up the event should be quite the success.
