Taco Bell Rolling Out 30-Day Taco Subscription, Pushing Limit of What a Subscription Can Be

Taco Bell is one food chain at the forefront of fast-food innovation. Americans now secure subscriptions for just about anything, including bottles of Jim Beam whiskey. Now, Taco Bell has provided a limited-time opportunity for taco fiends to subscribe to, you guessed it, Taco Bell tacos. Read on for more.

The Mexican food chain’s latest innovation surrounds the upstart of a 30-day subscription program entitled Taco Lover’s Pass. The subscription sounds like a dream come true for taco lovers across the country. Although, the limited-time opportunity only applies to those residing in Arizona right now, which is truly a major bummer.

Regardless, those lucky few residing near Tucson, AZ should take advantage of the new program while it lasts. According to People, the Taco Lover’s Pass became available September 9th and extends until this November 24th. The outlet further stated that nearly 20 Taco Bell locations within the city’s vicinity plan to participate.

The subscription prices do range depending on which Tucson location taco fans choose to utilize. Overall, prices range between $5 and $10 for the pass. Once customers complete the one-time purchase, the service allows them to add their daily taco to the cart.

The new subscription service currently highlights the latest in a string of innovative taco ideas. With it, customers have access to a limited amount of daily tacos. These include the Crunchy Taco, Spicy Potato Soft Taco, Crunchy Supreme Taco, Soft Supreme Taco, Doritos Locos Taco, and the Doritos Locos Taco Supreme. While limited, the new subscription provides a generally broad list of options to start with.

For now, word lacks on whether Taco Bell plans to roll the subscription service out to locations across the country. Should we hear any updates, we’ll be sure to let you Taco Bell fanatics know.

Taco Bell Takes a Stand Against Pollution

Although Taco Bell’s new subscription service is definitely noteworthy, it’s not the only big announcement to hit headlines this week. In response to climate change and pollution, the chain spurred a way to do its part in minimizing its contribution to landfills.

Working with the eco-conscious brand, Terracycle, Taco Bell now encourages its customers to recycle their collectives of sauce packets. The move comes as recent studies show that 8 billion empty Taco Bell sauce packets find their way into global landfills each year. For a product so tiny and seemingly insignificant, universal consumption proves them to be more destructive than previously thought.

Terracycle is known for recycling and repurposing hard-to-recycle items. The company plans to melt down the pesky sauce packets once consumer boxes filled with them reach their doorstep.

The program itself, simply termed the Sauce Packet Recycling Program, is rather easy to participate in. Taco Bell fans simply visit the chain’s website and create an account for the program. Afterward, simply collect your sauce packets in a shippable box. Once it’s full, participating customers simply print the free shipping label off of the Taco Bell website and ship the box out to Terracycle. Easy-peasy-packet-squeezy.
